A man with no shame
Michael Fassbender well and truly arrived in 2011 and 2012. After impressing with gritty, nervy turns in the likes of Hunger and Fish Tank, he made everybody sit up with his raw, fearless portayal of a sex addict in Shame.
Before that, he tackled the not inconsiderable role of real-life psychiatrist Carl Jung in A Dangerous Method, and proved he could do action with X-Men: First Class and pseudo-Alien prequel Prometheus.
Fitting that Shame had him playing a player – that film also marked Fassy out as a big player in the movie arena.
