21 Jump Street
Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum get classy
Packed with action, laugh-out-loud fish-outta-water antics and one of the coolest movie parties ever, 21 Jump Street was the surprise comedy hit of the year.
Shepherded to the big screen by producer/star Jonah Hill (Superbad) and based on the 1987 TV series starring Johnny Depp, Jump Street follows undercover cops Morton (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) as they attempt to root out a drug dealer in a high school.
Hill and Tatum make for a surprisingly sparky on-screen duo, Tatum revealing comedy chops we never knew he had. Hill summed it up best when he called the film an “R-rated, insane, Bad Boys-meets-John Hughes-type movie”. Top class.
