The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
Razor-sharp thriller from director David Fincher
Oozing elegance and attitude, David Fincher’s take on Stieg Larsson’s Swedish crime thriller is as punishing as it is striking.
This time around, Rooney Mara (The Social Network) plays the titular gal, Lisbeth Salander, a Goth hacker who helps shamed journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) solve a decades-old cold case.
Busting balls all over the shop, Mara emerges from Noomi Rapace’s shadow (she was the Swedish Tattoo’s Lisbeth) as an equally fascinating protagonist. The film itself is a captivating thriller that happily nestles amid Fincher’s roster of dark, enchanting work.
