One of the youngest directors to top the US box office, he was just 27 years old when Chronicle – which he co-created with Max Landis – hit #1. (Spielberg was 28 with Jaws, Cameron 30 with The Terminator.) He won’t helm a sequel but having proved his abilities, is being linked to a Fantastic Four reboot and a Venom origin story.
