Moffat and Gatiss’ other primetime TV show is in the seventh year of its comeback, and showing no signs of suffering from diminishing returns. Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith is staying put for the time being, although current companion Karen Gillan will be bowing out as Amy Pond this year, in a reportedly “heartbreaking end” to her arc.
